Locking Locking is the form of dancing art created by Don Campbell in night clubs of Los Angeles in the early seventies ХХ century which includes improvisational positions "locks". Today locking ia a funk style and the street dance associated also with hip-hop. It is based on fast and accurate movements by hands and palms in a combination to more quiet movements of hips and feet. Movements always peak, they are rhythmical and closely adhered to music. Locking is focused on representation, constant interaction with spectators, bears in itself clownery elements

Walking Walking appeared as a locking-culture part, originally in years it was danced under funk, then under disco, and then – under house, and now it is a house- culture integral part. But original walking appeared as parodying locking movements of hands (in corresponding nonconventional orientation to the manner). In summary constant exchange between Los Angeles and New York walking reached East coast and mixed up in Vogueing – the style which appeared in 40-50th years clubs of New York as a parody of the fashion-walks and modeling poses. Therefore NYC Style and LA Style of walking differ: Los Angeles has more accurate movements of hands, and New York has emissions, jumps and vogue-posing. Besides movements of hands in walking include art of accurate poses and lines (vogue) and steps (one way walking).

Hip-hop Hip-hop dances appeared in clubs New York as freestyle-mix from funk styles and the technician, come with the western coast (Popping, Locking, Waving, Tutting, Breaking), and also traditional Party Dance – social dances of Afro-American population. Now Hip Hop can be divided culturally into old (America) and new school (Europe). Everything that the European dancers introduced in hip-hop, they designated as New Style, having used the American term in abbreviated form designating the dance which came from New York City (New York style). And if Old School is characterized by presence of accurate base and dance, in New style from original Hip Hop dance remains unless just base movements - the rest is completely dependant on improvisation of the dancer, skills of his posing and the combination of base hip-hop, technician and musicalities, abilities to beat the smallest accents of music. But now all dancing world has unanimously returned to the use of the original and unique name of the style – Hip Hop.

Krump In translation from English «krump» means strong blow, falling, explosion. Krump ia rather an aggressive dance allowing the performer to splash out all emotions, including anger. The history of krump goes from 90ies of the 20ieth century and is considered with «Crowling» (or as it is still named, style Dance of the Clown). The ancestor of Dance of the Clown is Thomas Johnson (Clown Tommy) who tried (and as it appeared, rather successfully) to create new, unique dancing style by connecting various local elements of dance. He organized a small group in Los- Angeles named Clowns of Southern Central of Los- Angeles. Physical contact of dancers can be used in krump. The given style is used for dancing competitions. Battle, as a rule, occurs continuously and very cruelly. During competition all world around for the dancer ceases to exist, participants forget about everything, except the enemy. Thus accurately krump is extremely concentrated, and its dancers express readiness for "fight".

Ragga-Jam Frenchwoman Ler Kurtelmon who posesses the patent for Ragga Jam, initially positioned this dance as means of self-realization for women who wish to show themselves in skill of possession of a body and expressiveness movements and that they are Women from the capital letter. Ten years has passed since then. Women in Ragga-Jam dances have remained, but there are also men – millions of admirers have carried away their athletism, dynamism and absolute uniqueness of style.

House HOUSE is an explosive experimental style of dance. It has been invented in the early seventies of the last century in Chicago. The bit rate differes from 118 to 135 blows in a minute with a size in four quarters (the bass butt gets on every fourth share). The new style appeared thanks to the invention of rhythmic composition. It allowed to receive a new sound. More perfect and accurate heavy bit strikingly differed from rhythmic drawing popular at that time in funk and disco. The first house tracks consisted exclusively of accent cycles of the drum and the bass butt. Huge influence on house-dance was rendered by the African dancing culture. In traditional African dance the drum sound symbolizes life. The same is true for house. Drum rhythm is a basis on which the dancer builds his own combination of movements, improvising and opening the world of the style. Such philosophy is close to all who doesn't think of his existence without contagious rhythms. The style makes a basis of choreography of popular videoclips: dancing it, you execute dances of stars of the American and European musical culture (Jastin Timberlelake, BeyoncE, Ciara). LAStyle can include others, not adjacent styles with hip-hop (jazz, jazz-modern) and therefore it is used for show and statements in clips, advertizing. Los Angeles style of hip-hop (LA Style) has the most emphasis on performance in comparison with New/New York Style.

New Style NEW STYLE was derived from hip-hop. Its difficult for an inexperienced dancer to understand the difference between hip-hop and new style. New style absorbed in itself movements of B-boys, afro and other directions. All it becomes for more various dancing and search of an individual styling. Today at competitions it is difficult to find two similar dancers of the style. And the improvisation is appreciated. The definite variant of yours is limited only by your imagination and technical readiness. Because of variety of a plasticity in new style, more serious possession of movement techniques is required: abilities separately to move in different temp-rhythms, to pulse, to tighten, to stylize movements and to insert the so-called counters which have been thought up by you, instead of those taken from other dancers. Naturally, initially the dancer should possess base techniques of hip-hop
