The Principles are derived from collective experiences of the ISO/TC/176 members. The eight quality management principles are defined in both the: - ISO 9000:2000:- (QMS Fundamentals and vocabulary) and ISO 9004:2000:- (QMS:-Guidelines for performance improvement) standards

System Approach to Management Identifying, understanding and managing interrelated processes as a system contributes to the organizations effectiveness and efficiency in achieving its objectives Implication Systems are constructed by connecting interrelated processes together to deliver the system objectives which in the case of the QMS is the satisfaction of the interested parties.
