Biography Valentin Alexandrovich Serov was born on January 7,1865 in St.Petersburg into family of composer and pianist.In his childhood he studied in Paris and Moscow under Ilya Repin and in the St.Petersburg Academy of Arts under Pavel Chistyakov.
