The House-museum in Zhidebai was opened in 1945 as a branch of Semipalatinski literary- memorial museum of Abay, 180 kilometers away from Semipalatinsk city. At the eve of 125-year jubilee of the poet in 1970, museum was reconstructed.. Cloth materials sent by Abais relatives and friends are presented in five rooms and three common-rooms of museum. Amongst them - books on arabic, persian, turkish, russian languages, photo documents of that years, three strain dombra of Abai, household subjects and etc.
