Today we are going to know about degrees of comparison of adjectives to read the text to do different exercises.

Who is bigger? In the zoo you can see a giraffe and an elephant. The giraffe is tall and the elephant is tall. But the giraffe is taller than elephant. The giraffe is the tallest animal in the world (в мире).

You can see a tiger and a crocodile. They are dangerous(опасные). The tiger is more dangerous than the crocodile. The tiger is the most dangerous animal in the zoo.

Crocodiles are long (длинные) and pythons are long. But pythons are longer than crocodiles. The python is the longest animal in the zoo.

You can see many beautiful birds in the zoo. You can see an ostrich and a peacock. The peacock is more beautiful than the ostrich. The peacock is the most beautiful bird in the zoo.

Односложные прилагательные. tall (высокий) long (длинный) lazy (ленивый) big (большой) Сравнительная степень taller longer lazier bigger (больше) Превосходная степень the tallest the longest the laziest the biggest (самый большой)

Многосложные прилагательные. beautiful dangerous (опасный) Сравнительная степень more beautiful more dangerous (опаснее) Превосходная степень the most beautiful the most dangerous (самый опасный)

Исключения: Good – better – the best Bad – worse – the worst Many/much – more – the most Little – less – the least

Exercise 1. За что люди могут любить своих животных? Clever (умный) – cleverer – the cleverest Kind Funny Pretty Happy Strong Fat Curious Exotic Brave Beautiful kinder – the kindest funnier – the funniest prettiest – the prettiest happier – the happiest stronger – the strongest fatter – the fattest more curious – the most curious more exotic - the most exotic braver – the bravest more beautiful – the most beautiful.

Exercise 2. Как дети могут похвастаться своими любимцами? My cat (small) Jeffs dog. My dog (fat) Beths bird. My rabbit (clever) Lens mouse. My fish is (big) than Lees parrot. My mouse (happy) Bretts cat. My parrot (pretty) Bettys fish. My bird (beautiful) Toms rabbit. My cat is bigger than Toms rabbit.

Exercise 3. Почему животные этих детей самые лучшие? My cat is (big) ---- My cat is the biggest. My dog is (clever).
