For auld lang syne, my dear For auld lang syne May auld acquaintance be forgot And days of auld lang syne? For auld lang syne, my dear For auld lang syne May auld acquaintance be forgot And days of auld lang syne?

Inverness Inverness (Scottish Gaelic: Inbhir Nis, pronounced [ iɲɪɾʲˈniʃ ]) is a city in northern Scotland. The city is the administrative centre for the Highland council area, and is promoted as the capital of the Highlands of Scotland. The city lies near the site of the eighteenth century Battle of Culloden[4] and at the beginning of the Great Glen, where the River Ness enters the Inverness/Moray Firth making it a natural hub for various transport links. It is the northernmost city in the United Kingdom. A settlement was established by the sixth century AD with the first royal charter being granted by King David I in the twelfth century.
