Неопределённый артикль (a/an). 1. С исчисляемыми существительными в единственном числе. 2. Несёт новую информацию (предмет называется впервые). 3. Называет «всё равно какой предмет». I want an apple. I want an apple.

Определённый артикль (the). 1. С существительными в единственном и множественном числе; исчисляемыми и неисчисляемыми. 2. Несёт старую информацию. 3. Называет конкретный, определённый предмет. Give me the apple, please.

Нулевой артикль (отсутствие артикля). 1. C исчисляемыми существительными во множественном числе. 2. Называет неконкретные, «всё равно какие предметы». 3. С неисчисляемыми существительными. I like apples. She prefers coffee. I like apples. She prefers coffee.
