Saint Valentines Day is on the 14th of February. It is the traditional day of lovers.
In early times people believed that on this day birds choose their mates.
More than two centuries ago people began to send pretty Valentine cards.
Nowadays there are a lot of different cards for this celebration in Britain.
The most popular Valentines cards are humorous.
A red rose is a sign of romantic love.
On Valentines Day people give each other red roses or chocolates in red boxes that look like hearts.
