Урок английского языка в 7 классе Тема: Green Architecture Цель: формирование навыков смыслового чтения. Учебные задачи: Личностные: воспитание стремления изменить мир к лучшему. Метапредметные: развитие творческого мышления; формирование умения коллективного речевого взаимодействия; формирование умения систематизировать и обобщать полученные знания. Предметные: расширение лексического запаса по теме и общего кругозора; развитие навыков устной речи.

Ход урока Оборудование: Раздаточный материал (тексты, карточки); проектор I.Вызов. (3 мин) Тема урока полностью не сообщается. На доске написано слово Green … Учащиеся должны догадаться какое второе слово (Architecture), в процессе соотнесения 4 изображений (на экране) и 4 написанных на доске слов: Water-Scraper; Skyscraper Farms; Lilypad; Eco-City (изображения прилагаются).

II. Осмысление учебных задач. (7 мин) Учащиеся разбиваются на группы по 3-5 человек и решают кроссворды. III. Открытие нового знания. (25 мин) 1) Вопрос – что такое Green Architecture и зачем она нужна и нужна ли? Для ответа на вопрос предлагаются 4 текста (см. ниже). До чтения вводятся незнакомые слова (используя синонимы и определения слов): Float - drift, swim Amazing - wonderful Sustainable - life-supported Solar - influenced by the sun Room - space To inspire - fill with enthusiasm Diamond - a precious (expensive) stone, very hard Mine - a hole in the earth made by people to find diamonds Level - здесь floor Dome - cupola Demand - need Solution - decision

1)Lilypad: a floating eco-city. The so-called Lilypad project is perhaps the most amazing of these green wonders. The idea is to create a number of floating eco-city islands. The Lilypad City would float around the world as an independent and fully sustainable home. A lake in its centre would collect and clean rainwater. Solar panels and wind turbines would give electricity. Vegetables and fruit would be grown on vertical farms. There would be mountains and forests in the island city – but no roads and cars! Each city would have enough room for 50,000 people. The Lilypad Project was created by Vincent Callebaut, a Belgian architect. The design of the city is inspired by the shape of the great Amazonia Victoria Regina lilypad, he said. The architect thinks that his project is a solution to the problem of water rising. The sea level is rising because of global warming, and many places, including such big cities as New York and Tokyo, are in danger.

2) Water-Scraper: an underwater skyscraper. If you lived in underwater skyscraper, you would be able to enjoy fantastic views! The idea of the Water-Scraper belongs to Sasly Adre Bin Sarkum, a Malaysian architect. Just like Lilypad, the Water-Scraper would float freely in the ocean and would be self-sustainable. The energy of the sun, wind and waves would be used for electricity. Vegetables and fruit would be grown using hydroponics. (Hydroponics simply means growing plants without soil. Its easy – you can even try it at home!) There would be a real forest and a park on top of the Water- Scraper.

3) Eco-City Russian architects have designed an eco-city that could be built underground – inside an old diamond mine in Siberia. This mine is so huge that it has enough room for a whole city. The new city would be fully sustainable. It would be divided into three main levels, with houses, vertical farms, forests and parks on each level. A huge glass dome above the city would protect it from the cruel Siberian weather. About 100,000 people would be able to live and work in this amazing garden city.

4) Skyscraper Farms. About 40% of our planets land is now used for agriculture, yet the worlds population is growing very fast. As the population grows, the demand for food goes up and more land is cleared for farming. Dickson Despommier, an American ecologist, thinks that the only way to make enough food for the growing population is to create skyscraper farms in big cities. One skyscraper farm could feed 50,000 people a year! he said. 100 kinds of plants could be grown there – strawberries, lettuce, even miniature banana plants.

IV. Рефлексия. (5 мин) Синквейн. 1. Существительное (тема) 2. Два прилагательных 3. Три глагола 4. Фраза из четырех слов (выражает личное отношение) 5. Синоним темы (выражает суть) Оценку получает каждый ученик за каждое задание урока. Оценивают работу друг друга сами учащиеся по критериям, предложенным учителем.

V. Домашнее задание. Приготовить пересказ текста об одном из проектов, добавив свое отношение к нему.
