EMEA Techshare The Future Begins Avaya proprietary and confidential UC – The Future Begins Meeting Exchange – Conference Bridge Selector Conferences with 6 parties or less should use the free PBX based conference service (Meet-Me Conferencing). A large percentage of current conferences which are setup on the large scale conference bridges are 6 parties or less and do not require recording. Misuse of internal Conferencing service options is a costly annual expense. Expensive conference ports are unnecessarily utilized. Users choose large conference bridge because they know it will work for all conference sizes. Users prefer having to use a single conferencing facility. Challenge Solution The SIP A/S determines whether the free Meet-Me bridge or the Meeting Exchange conference bridge is used. Conference users dial the same number for all conference calls. Conference server port usage is greatly reduced. Conference server facilities may be consolidated.
