Those most at risk include: People aged 65 years and older. Pregnant women. Very young children. People who live in nursing homes and other health care facilities. Adults and children who have diabetes, kidney, or blood problems. Children and teens that take aspirin for a long time. Workers in hospitals or clinics who are around lots of people who have the flu.

If you are sick with flu–like illness, stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone except to get medical care or for other necessities. While sick, limit contact with others as much as possible to keep from infecting them. Follow public health advice regarding school closures, avoiding crowds and other measures to keep your distance from others to lessen the spread of flu.
