4 Wonderful Wednesdays at Bellingrath Gardens & Home Bellingrath Gardens and Home is pleased to announce the summer 2008 Wonderful Wednesdays schedule. A variety of fun, hands-on activities and informative presentations for all ages are offered each Wednesday. All programs are open to the public and are included in the price of Gardens admission. Additional fees for some programs will be noted.

With the camellia blooms in winter, the azaleas in spring, roses in the summer, chrysanthemums in autumn and our famed Magic Christmas in Lights during the holiday season, Bellingrath Gardens and Home is a 65 acre estate of year-round beauty. In addition to touring the Gardens, the Bellingrath Museum Home and the Fowl River aboard the Southern Belle River Cruise, come experience the Bayou Boardwalk, Mirror Lake, the Great Lawn, Asian-American Gardens, the 2004 Top Public Rose Garden in the United States, Butterfly Garden, Formal Garden Terraces, and more!

Bellingrath Gardens and Home is an independent non-profit institution. Although the Gardens receive income from the Bellingrath-Morse Foundation, two-thirds of our current operations are financed entirely by admissions, gift shop and restaurant sales, memberships and contributions. Your generous support through the Friends of Bellingrath will enable us to preserve and improve the historic home and gardens for our visitors for many years to come. A modern 1855 resolution, passed to construct a building for the city market and departments of the city government, now the Museum of Mobile, declared that this structure should be, "of handsome appearance-an ornament to the City,". 11 Mobile Greyhound Park Mobile's top evening attraction for over 33 years. Featuring live greyhound racing and simulcast horse racing. Clubhouse features fresh seafood and steak – 1900 Turf racing captivated the hearts of Mobilians and spawned a business culture that reigned for nearly a century. Visit the Museum of Mobile and take a look at a point in Mobile's development when horse racing was the sport of the day and the city thrived from the revenue it generated. 12 Rodin: A Magnificent Obsession. This wonderfully emotive exhibition features over 60 original, bronze sculptures by Auguste Rodin, one of the worlds most celebrated artists. The exhibition surveys Rodins prolific career, including early decorative works; highlights from his major public commissions, such as The Thinker (1880).
