by Masha Fuer The first term was very successful for me. I made two projects. They are: Book Review and Olympic Games. My project Book Review tells about the famous tragedy Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. Olympic Games describes the history of the Olympic Games. I was able to find some additional material in Russian and English languages. I am happy with my projects topics. I feel my presentations were wonderful! But my biggest problem is grammar. Its not very good. But I try to do it better.

I have been learning the English Language for 7 years. In my opinion, listening to songs, poems, learning new words, speaking with my classmates, learning new rules help me to know English better. My weak point is grammar. I think, that, if I want to make my grammar better, I must learn all rules, write dictations, learn new words, ask our teacher to explain me these rules. But my strong point is translating. I want to translate different texts well, thats why I learn all new words and have a good vocabulary. In 1939 it was a small settlement of miners, but now it is considered to be a mining capital of the Black Soil Zone of Central Russia. Gubkin is a centre of mining and dressing industry. Several unique enterprises make Gubkin a centre of highly developed industry: a group of KMA Ruda plants, Lebedinsky GOK with a huge open pit-mine and the only hot briquetted iron plant-HBI in Europe. Also Gubkin is a cultural centre because there are 10 libraries, 2 institutes and 19 schools. Gubkin is a very young town, but, I think, that in the future it will be bigger and more developed.
