"Permafrost" - so call part of crust which has negative temperature and never melts. This zone includes lands in the north of continents (Europe, Asia, America). Temperature of crust keeps on low marks in the millennia, from here and the name. Underground ground waters exist here in the form of ice, and its thickness can exceed 1 km.

Yakutsk is not the only city located in a zone of permafrost, but is largest of them. No wonder, that exactly in this city the unusual museum and tourist center devoted to permafrost opened. Place where Yakutsk is located, has hills surround. One of them, located at distance of several kilometers from the city is called as Chochur-Muran. Yakuts consider this place as sacred. In Soviet period in a hill there was an adit which used for storage of products. In 2008 in an old adit opened "A permafrost kingdom".

The real ice miracle is behind a usual simple door on a slope of the mountain. The adit is shared on some halls where it is possible to see by own eyes the permafrost. Before travel it is desirable to stock up with the convenient footwear suitable for circulation on ice. At once on an entrance visitors receive warm clothes. In summer in a museum the temperature doesn't happen warmer -4 °. Crystals of ice penetrate walls of caves and shine, shined with color lamps.

We turn for a corner: mini- museum with parts of mammoths: bones, teeth.

Sometimes absolutely unexpected exhibits come across (the biggest frozen milk)

And here on a tree of desires the coin needs to be molded. If the coin from the first sticks, the desire of type will come true. I breathed on a coin for 30 seconds, I stuck as the darling.

I told you one surprising place of Yakutia: about permafrost. And I learned a lot of new doing my project. It was very interesting for me. After all this is one the most beautiful sights of our city. Thank you for your attention !
