Andrey Sokolov is a Soviet-Russian film actor. He was born in 1962 in Moscow. He is a Soviet-Russian actor and film director.

In his childhood he was very active and versatile child. He liked sport but his most favorite kind of sport was hockey. One day, he was recognized as the best hockey goalkeeper. Also, Andrey attended music school and had dance lessons. Andrey always dreamed of becoming an actor.

His first role was in "She with a broom, he in a black hat. In this film he played a young doctor. When this film came out, he became very famous.

However, he became popular all over the world after the film Little Vera. This film was made by the film director Vasyly Pichulin. Little Vera is a symbol of the Perestroika in the USSR. This film is very famous because its the first film which has scenes with outright love.

A year later, he appeared in the tragicomedy film Dark nights in Sochi town.

In 1990 Andrey started his theatrical activity in Mossovet Theatre and Luna Theatre. His most charitable role was in the Shining Tais where he played Alexander the Great.

Andrew was always interested in film directing and he also wanted to be good at it. In 2007 he started his work on the film Artifact.
