Мета: Учити учнів спілкуватися за темою, вживаючи нову лексику.

Повторити й активізувати відомі ЛО теми.

Формувати навички усного та писемного мовлення.

Удосконалювати техніку читання та формувати навички аудіювання.

Розвивати та розширювати уявлення учнів про традиції англійців.

Виховувати інтерес до життя людей в інших країнах.

Обладнання: Підручник,картки для роботи в парах ( НО1), для індивідуальної роботи ( НО2 ),

мультимедійний проектор.

Хід уроку

I. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

Greeting 1. Привітання.

Aim 2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

T: The topic of our todays lesson is " Holidays in Britain.

By the end of the lesson you will be able:

- to talk about some holidays and special holidays and special days in Britain;

-to understand new words and word- combinations while reading to the text;

-to listen and understand details of the text.

Warming up 4. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

1) Ознайомлення з віршами за темою

Учитель роздає учням картки з віршами, у яких пропущені назви свят. Учні в

парах читають вірші, здогадуються про які свята йдеться та заповнюють пропуски

назвами свят. Потім по черзі читають вірші і запамятовують їх.

Учні працюють в парах. Один з них уявляє себе англійцем, а інший розпитує його про традиції

святкування Різдва в Англії. Учні використовують подані у вправі підказки,складають та

інсценують діалог.

Speaking 4. Розвиток умінь мовлення.

Обговорення запитань вправи проходить у формі фронтальної бесіди з класом.

Comprehension 5. Аудіювання.

Учні слухають текст і читають твердження, погоджуючись із правильними і виправляючи

неправильні.

St.Valentines Day

February 14 th is St. Valentines Day. Boys and girls as well as grown-ups send cards named Valentines to

their friends. A valentine is a funny little picture with a little poem on it. Schoolchildren like to buy or to make valentines for their friends or teachers. They usually make a mail-box with a slit on the top, where

they can post their valentines. At the end of the day they open the box and take out valentines. The boy

or girl, who gets more valentines than the other children, feels very happy.

Here is the poem you can write on the valentine card:

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Lilies are fair,

So are you.

1. January 14th is St. Valentines Day.
