The aim: To develop our knowledge about the history of our town The main question: What is the Native Town?. The problem question: Do the people like their town? Hypothesis: East or West Home is Best

We live in Russia. And today we want to tell you about our Native Town – Mikhailovsk.

First it was the village of Chlavskoye (after the name of the river flowing through the village). In 1785 the village was renamed in honour of tsar Mikhail Romanov. The population of the village grew and became about 2,550 people by the end of 1790.

In 1799 the first church of wood was built in the village. Now days there is one of the most beautiful cathedrals in our region.

In 1894 the first railroad through the village leading from Mikhailovskoye to Kavkazkaya was built.

Mikhailovskoye was renamed in It got its name of Shpakovskoye after the hero of Civil War Foma Shpak. We can see his monument in our town.

Now days the village of Shpakovskoye is renamed in the town of Mikhailovsk. The population of it is about 70,000 people. It is an industrial, agricultural and cultural center in our region. Mikhailovsk.

Mikhailovsk is a cultural and educational center. There is a university, 10 schools and some kindergartens in it. In the center of our town there is a Historical Museum. It became the centre of military- patriotic education of young people. It was established in 1974 by the teacher enthusiast N. G. Zavgorodny. Museum.

Mikhailovsk is a beautiful green town. The nature of our town is wonderful. There is a big forest near the town, many ponds and gardens. nature

Problems of our town Of course our town has some basic problems. One of them is rubbish. Pollution is very dangerous for people, wildlife and the environment.

The second problem in our town is homeless dogs. It is a very serious problem.

What will happen if dont try to solve these problems? Scientists have made predictions and they are alarming. Of course our people and town government try to solve these problems. People of our town like their town.

Conclusion It often said that New York is the first among cities and a city of firsts. Mikhailovsk is also a city firsts for us. Here we went to school, made friends got some experience here.
