Scope of delivery Check whether the delivery is complete If IP Office 500 is delivered, check whether the key card is included!

Connect / power supply IP Office 400 Depending on the version, the IP Office will be delivered with different power supplies and connection lines. It is started up by plugging in the power supply. There is no separate On/Off switch. If there are any expansion modules, they must be supplied with power first, before the control unit is switched on.

Power supply of IP Office 500 and IP Office 500 Version 2 IP Office 500 and IP Office 500 Version 2 have their own power supply.

Grounding Using analog trunks, grounding is required for proper trunk operation.

Default telephony settings Extensions and users A user with assigned extension for each recognized extension port (from control unit and expansion modules). User names reflect the format Extn201, Extn202 etc. The users are assigned with extension numbers 201, 202 etc. Hunting group A hunting group 200 entitled Main is created, for which the first 10 users have been added as members. Routing of incoming calls Two standard routes for incoming calls will be created. Voice calls are routed to hunting group Main. Data calls are routed to the RAS access Dialln.

IP 500 default settings Extension Extension Extension The default numbering of extensions and users in IP Office 500 Systems based on the modality of plug in card. The first extension number will be given to the first subscriber recognised in the system. Follow up by numbering from left to right.

In the following the default numbering plan based on the existing expansion module. S08 expansion module doesnt get any extension number because the system handled this module like a trunk module.

TFTP server Software upgrade To upgrade the software of the IP Office control units, the expansion modules, 1400,1600, 9600 and 4600 and 5600 series telephones, and IP DECT wireless base stations, a TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol) server must be active in the network segment of IP Office (LAN1). IP Office 500… …can serve as TFTP servers themselves if the flash card has been installed and if the corresponding software is available on their root. The Manager … also provides a TFTP server if it is active on a PC. Any TFTP server It is also possible to provide any server in the customer network to upgrade the software.
