PROJECT – WORK DONE BY SUVOROVA N. A STUDENT OF THE 10 TH FORM SCHOOL 4 VLADIMIR REGION THE CITY OF KOVROV

I am glad to present the project The Best of all Possible Worlds The purpose of my work is not only to describe my favorite place, to show its beautiful sights, to explain for what I like it so much, but I also want all young people to love and respect their native Land.

At first I would like to introduce my favorite place in the World, as you see on the map it is my native city Kovrov. Its position is very profitable, i. e. it is situated in Vladimir region, in the European part of Eurasia, in the centre of the Russian plain, on both sides of the river Klyazma, not far from such cities as Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod, Vladimir, Ivanovo and others.

Unlike many people, I am not ashamed of the fact that I was born in a province, on the contrary I am very proud of living and studying in this town. I know for sure what the beauty and magnificence of nature and environment mean to me. Nature has taught me to notice only perfection, to appreciate each day of my life, it has inspired me to be engaged in creativity. You see it is impossible not to love slow dawns in a rose - colored mist, light sky with golden - dark blue clouds on the horizon and unforgettable singing of nightingales in the morning. And what else is it necessary for happiness, I wonder?

I cant say that Kovrov is a small city. The population of my native city is about 157 thousand people and its industry is highly developed. Kovrov is famous for production of weapons, motorcycles, excavators, men suits and other important things. Kovrov is one of the leaders of world and domestic defensive science and technology centres, the city has connection with hundreds Russian and foreign firms. I hope that soon our city will get the status of city – naukograd and itll give more opportunities to its citizens

But Im not going to make all people live in the places of their birth, of course not I simply want people not to forget their native land, not to be ashamed of it, but like and respect it. Unfortunately, it happens very often.

I asked many people the same questions. The results of the interview shocked me greatly. Do you like your town? Yes No It is difficult to say – 13 Will you remember your native town if you leave it? Yes No Sometimes Why?! Why?! Why?!

Why dont contemporary young people like (or do not want to like?) native places? Wishing to leave as quickly as possible for other cities, they do not notice beauty, magnificence and charm which exist on their Native land. I know, that in life everyone should feel drawn to the best, but at the same time its necessary to remember, that each day of the year is unique, you neednt run in searches of happiness, you see, life is a happiness, so create and enjoy beauty around yourself

The Man has only one Motherland, and it remains with him during all his life wherever he lived. And only living far from native place the man begins to miss his homeland and feel nostalgia. And now have a look at the photos that illustrate my town – Kovrov and youll see that it is very beautiful.

Its only a small part of interesting places of Kovrov. And I invite everyone to come and see my city in all its beauty, be sure you wont regret. Doing my work I hoped to arouse feeling of tenderness and love toward a small Russian town. I tried very much for you to understand why I like and respect my town so greatly.
