Good bye, Happy English! We had an unusual party, Good bye, Happy English.ru! We really say Good bye to our favourite English textbooks and their authors K. Kaufman and M. Kaufman. We will not study on these textbooks any more. - How did it begin? Computers and Internet came to our school and we need a new English book. The textbooks Happy English.ru by K. Kaufman and M. Kaufman were modern and not so difficult for village pupils. English was studied in our school from the 5th Grade. We learned poems and songs, acted out dialogues on different situations, travelled a lot, visited sights of Great Britain and the USA with our new friends Misha, Robin, Mark and Alice. We liked the textbook and of course English. This textbook taught us to speak English, to read additional literature, to watch films and listen to English songs. For the first time we have learned about the projects and presentations from these textbooks. Our pupils made a lot of projects on different topics: My Pet, My Granny, The place where we live, Nothing is Forever, Жил-был Глагол. Жил-был Глагол в стране Глаголия. Он страшно ненавидел ленивых и пассивных, так как сам весь день что-то делал: бегал, прыгал, читал, танцевал, рисовал, писал, играл. Его можно было увидеть там, где учатся, работают, помогают, одним словом – действуют. Глагол – великий труженик, потому что делает всё почти в каждом предложении. Если надо что-то делать или сделать, то это к нему! Но очень не любил Глагол частичку Не, потому что она всегда пишется раздельно. Много интересных историй у Глагола. Вот и вас он приглашает в свою страну Глаголия. Аршинова Анастасия «Жил-был Глагол…» Учащиеся 6 класса провели открытый урок по теме «Путешествие в город «Глагольск» по русскому языку. Давным-давно, когда нас с тобой ещё не было на свете, в царстве Грамматики жил-был славный царь Глагол со своим глагольным людом. Народ его был трудолюбивым, деятельным: все время куда-то спешил, что-то делал, чем-то занимался. Было у царя 2 сына: I спряжение и II спряжение. Призвал однажды царь Глагол сыновей и стал говорить им: - Стар я стал, дети мои, трудно мне управлять государством. Пришло время вам заменить меня. Даю вам 3 дня и 3 ночи, чтобы вы решили, как вам царствовать. И после этих слов отпустил царь своих сыновей. Думали они 3 дня и 3 ночи и решили: II спряжение будет править теми глаголами, которые в неопределенной форме заканчиваются на –ИТЬ, а I спряжение – всеми остальными. Пришли сыновья к отцу и сказали о своем решении. Глагол обрадовался, что у него такие мудрые дети и издал указ о разделении царства. Разлетелись гонцы во все концы государства с этой вестью. Но не всех она обрадовала. Одна семья из-за этого раздела оказалась в двух разных царствах. Это были глаголы: гнать, держать, смотреть, видеть, дышать, слышать, ненавидеть, зависеть, вертеть, обидеть, терпеть. Пришли они к царю с просьбой: - Милостивый государь, славный царь Глагол, помоги нам. – Что случилось? - По твоему указу мы оказались в царстве I спряжения, а наши старые родители – в царстве II спряжения. Разреши нам остаться с ними. – Рад бы вам помочь, но не могу нарушить свой указ.– Смилуйся, государь, сделай исключение. Не смог царь устоять перед просьбой и разрешил этим глаголам остаться в царстве II спряжения, хотя они и оканчиваются на –ИТЬ. И по сей день эти глаголы в виде исключения относятся ко II спряжению.

Summer is a beautiful season with the long sunny days and short warm nights. The weather is mostly fine and the clear blue sky is above our heads. The trees are green and fresh grass grows everywhere. Its great variety of brightly colored odorous summer flowers all around feasts our eyes. For the pupils summer means three months long holidays! Im never upset if I dont go anywhere on my summer holidays because when I have enough free time I always do something interesting. I read books, watch films, listen to music or go for a walk. Children love summertime very much because its warm and comfortable outside. Theres no need to stay at home or to put on lots of clothes. We can spend time outdoors, walk and play, lie in the sun and swim in the sea or in the river. Hi! Im Marina! I was a pupil at Kargal School from 2001 to I liked studying there. I always remember my classmates and teachers. There were many favourite subjects. English, of course, was and is among them. Ive often wondered what makes English so attractive to such a large number of people. Only very rarely do I hear someone say that they dont like this language. Are you born with a love for languages, can you fall in love with them, is it a gradual process or is it only a matter of acquired taste? As far as Im concerned, Im pretty sure it was a kind of love at first sight thing. Being in the 11 th Grade I was taking part in the Olympiad in Zubova Polyana. I won there and was on the second Place. Im still proud of this fact. I learn English because I understand that I can use it. I learn English because I want to read foreign literature in the original. I like to travel, but it is difficult to visit new places, when you dont know the language of these countries.
