HIV-infection - a disease. Its caused by a HIV – human immunodeficiency virus. HIV attacks the immune system, eventually depriving it of the possibility to resist not only the reproduction of HIV, and other diseases and infections (for example tuberculosis, fungi, even SARS).
AIDS - acquired immune deficiency syndrome. At the stage of AIDS immunity is weakened so that other diseases that develop in patients with HIV infection, for taking irreversible and lead to death.
